How long do homemade cookies/brownies last?

I'm planning to make cookies and brownies for my family members. However, my family is going on a cruise the week before christmas which means I have to make the cookies and brownies
They dry out a little but I've never really had them go bad over a 2 week period. When I was in college my mom would send care packages to me of chocolate

I got this pack of miniature fudge brownies. It expires tomorrow and i have about 10 pieces still left. It tastes normal at this point. Can i take the risk of eating it past the expiration
It depends on where you store it, at room temp. i would not keep it but a few days past the expiration date, but if you refrigerated it, a week longer
