Is it illegal to dig up the state flower in Tennessee?

I am a senior and we are trying to come up with a senior prank. I heard in some states it is illegal to dig up your state flower. So if we planted the state flower in like an "09"
It's illegal for you to put it there in the first place.
Contact your division of Wildlife and ask them.

It is illegal to dig up any state flower "in the wild" .. which may very well make you at fault, unless you grew the state flower from seed.

Check the Tennessee Agricultural Extension Agency, that's what they are there for.

If you know of a website that would narrow it down by state and season/month- that would be great!!!
Google US Planting Zones. Just about any thing you pick will show you a zoning map. Your zone is probably 6a-7b. Then look up annual and perennial plants
