Is it normal to give men flowers as congratulations?

I know its perfectly normal to give women flowers as a thank you or congratulations of sorts, but is that normal for men also? Or would that be really strange? If it is, what should

I wouldn't want someone to give me flowers unless I'm dying. That would be like giving a guy a box of chocolates or a Celine Dion album.

Simple works for me. "Congratulations on your new job." sounds just right. Sign it "fondly", not "All my love forever".

Is she your girlfriend or a friend with benefits? She sounds like she does not want to be exclusive (i.e. your girlfriend) so just keep it casual...do

Go to the hospital and scope out there needs, they will not be thinking of things "they" need. Only of the babies. They will be so crazy busy
